August 9, 2009- August 13, 2009

"We honor those who died and dedicate it to all who served."

Soldier's Field Veteran's Memorial
The Wall of Remembrance contains the names of Veterans within a fifty-mile radius of Rochester who died from injuries sustained while in the service of our country. Four circular walls display graphics from the Civil War to the Gulf War on the outside with a written history. The Walk of Remembrance contains the names of approximately 4,700 who served our country as well as our allies, their branch of service, conflict, or the date they entered service. Fifty trees, one for each state of the Union, are planted surrounding the Memorial. There are over one million reasons for the Soldier's Field Veteran's Memorial and that number continues to climb.
